About Kacee

Stories inspired by nature.
Lessons that last a lifetime.

Kacee Clarkson was an Air Force Brat. Because her family relocated often, she was rarely exposed to forests and wildlife. That changed when her father retired and bought a small farm in southern Indiana. Living on a farm provided Kacee with opportunities to observe the natural world around her, experience outdoor adventures, and develop her love for animals. Kacee earned a bachelor’s degree in art and Spanish education from Purdue University and a master’s degree in art administration from Golden Gate University. Upon retiring from her career as an art teacher, she traded her paintbrushes for her laptop and began turning her farm memories into children’s books. Kacee’s heartfelt, engaging stories include themes of friendship, whimsical adventure, and endearing wildlife. Each tale reminds children of the lasting connection between humans and nature, reinforces the value of being kind to animals and each other, and encourages readers to be good stewards of our planet.
